We have stayed at the Sun Inn on a couple of occasion over the last two years for a short break away and found it to be a nice friendly place to stay. It is very reasonably priced for the accommodation and the food in the pub is of a good standard and so is the service. We are returning again tomorrow for another short break and looking forward to our stay once again.
A fantastic place to stay, we had an amazing new year tonight, the service was second to none. As long as Bridgette and the crew are here next year, I'll definitely return.
My daughter had her baby shower here. The food was excellent and staff very friendly. Lovely pub. I have stayed overnight in my camper before. Had a meal there with friends. Great service thanks to all staff
We looked for a pub to dine, it was close to the place where we stayed so we went to The Sun Inn to have a dinner. At a first glance it's just a regular pub but I have to say that the service was great and the food was well above our expectations. It was fresh, delicious, decent portions yet still very reasonably price. Will definitely come back. Great experience, highly recommended!
We stayed overnight here with our dog, and it was a very pleasant experience. Lovely big rooms with everything you could possibly need. Land ladies are so very welcoming and really made us feel comfortable. Location wise, it's right next to a beautiful lake that takes around an hour to walk around. Absolutely perfect stop off on our way through and very dog friendly. Marked down one point for food as there wasn't any vegan options in the evening so we had to go elsewhere for food, but they did say they would take it on board for future guests. We also bought our own milk to have with breakfast as there was no non-dairy.
We stayed for just one night, the staff are friendly and accommodating. We did how ever have a small issue with one of the evening meals, when I approached the women behind the bar ( sorry never asked got her name ) she could not have done anything more to correct the issue. She was extremely friendly even before we had this small problem. I guess she either owns the business or she is the manager. All the same she was fantastic. The food was really nice and the breakfast that's was on another level,(excellent) considering how much we paid for the room. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Stayed for 3 nights. Exactly what I imagined an English country inn would be like. Warm friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere in the bar area. Rooms are quite spacious, spotless clean and very good value for money. Great selection/menu for breakfast. Very child friendly I’m planning to go back during the summer to better enjoy the beautiful location. Fab park and lake on the doorstep. Really can’t go wrong with place, friendly and professional staff and excellent value for money. 4* gem.
Stopped here as we were looking for somewhere to eat. Wasn't looking for it,we found it by accident. The food was pretty good and the service was lovely We both had the steak pie but swapped for chips rather than mash and it was very tasty and a huge portion. Childrens meals were good with no complaints. Didn't stay very long as we were in a rush but everything was ok.
